Aaron Broussard

My name is Aaron Broussard.  For the upcoming school year I will be teaching 8^th grade, Geometry, Financial Math and assisting with an online dual enrollment class. This will be my 5^th year at South Cameron and 9^th year teaching.  I started my career in Hathaway teaching junior high, then taught one year at Reynaud Middle in Lake Charles.  I now enjoy teaching at a great school, with amazing students, and an amazing group of people around me.  I am extremely thankful for everything Cameron Parish has done for my family and me and look forward to many years of teaching success here at South Cameron.

My mom is from Lake Charles, my dad from Jennings, they married and moved to Baton Rouge where I was raised. I now live in Lake Charles with my wife and two children.  My oldest, a daughter, will be in first grade and my youngest, a son, will be starting pre-school.  The added benefit of being able to teach at the same school where my children attend in immeasurable.

I graduated from Central High School in Baton Rouge in 2003.  From there, I attended McNeese for one year before transferring to LSU and getting my bachelor’s degree.  I then attained my teaching certification and master’s degree from Louisiana College.
