Principal’s Message

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the 2020-2021 school year. I am very excited to serve you as the principal of South Cameron High School.

Our mission remains the same: SCHS will enable and inspire our student body to achieve academic success through a challenging curriculum and make positive contributions to our world in a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment. Our goal is to ensure every student who graduates from South Cameron High School is either college or career ready by offering both Dual Enrollment university classes and JumpStart career and technical classes. It is also our desire that students participate in athletic competitions, co-curricular activities, and extra-curricular activities that serve students' interests, sense of school spirit, and personal achievement.

We are thrilled to share with you that a brand new playground was installed near the football field over the summer.  The sign in the front of the school is being replaced to offer another avenue for communication.  Underneath the school has been spruced up as well-  additional picnic tables for students to enjoy eating lunch outside, yard size games of tic-tac-toe, checkers, chutes and ladders, hopscotch, and Simon says!

One of the first things I have noticed since moving here is the heart of the community. Tarpon Pride is contagious! Thank you all for welcoming me with open arms and making me feel like part of the SCHS family.

As always, if you have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.
