Welcome to Mrs. Pilate's Class

My name is Janice Pilate.  I am starting my 23rd year teaching Special Education.  I am currently teaching at South Cameron High School.  This is the 20th year to teach Special Education. I did not go to college until I was 35.  I graduated from McNeese two months before my  40th birthday. I have always loved my job, and I love teaching Special Education students.  I taught two years at Cameron Elementary, nine years at Crowley, nine years at Grand Lake, and two years at South Cameron High School.  I have four children:  Jarrett, Gretchen, Danielle, and Geremy. My oldest son lives in Cyril, OK., my youngest son lives in Baton Rouge, and my daughters live in Lafayette and Lake Charles.  I have 8 grandchildren, seven boys and 1 girl. I taught two years at Cameron Elementary, nine years at Crowley, nine years at Grand Lake, and two years at South Cameron High School.
