Scholarship Information

The Louisiana High School Coaches Association (LHSCA) is now accepting applications for its annual Scholarship Program, which awards twenty (20) $1,000 scholarships each year to ten (10) qualified graduating senior boys and ten (10) qualified graduating senior girls.

These scholarships are intended to assist deserving students as they continue their education at the college or university level.

Key Eligibility Requirements:

• Applicants must be the son, daughter, or legally adopted child of an LHSCA member.
• The member must have belonged to the LHSCA for the five (5) years immediately preceding the application submission.
• Applicants must be graduates of an accredited high school.
• Applicants must provide evidence of the ability to succeed at the college or university level (transcripts, GPA, class rank, ACT and/or SAT scores).
• Recipients must attend a college or university in Louisiana.
• Each individual may receive only one (1) $1,000 LHSCA scholarship.

Additional Information:

• Proof of acceptance into an accredited institution of higher education must be submitted and certified by the school registrar.
• Scholarship funds will be sent directly to the selected institution and may be used for tuition, fees, books, room and board, or other educational expenses.
• Final selections will be made by committee during the month of May, with recipients announced at the annual coaches clinic general business meeting.

Application Deadline

All applications must be submitted no later than Tuesday, April 6, 2026.
