My parents raised five children on a farm in Duralde, Louisiana and attended Basile High School and third grade at St. Francis in Iota, Louisiana. My husband, Coach Terry Bergeron, and I live in Lake Charles, Louisiana. We raised three boys, have two daughters-in-law, and five grandchildren. Our grand children attend Grand Lake and Hackberry schools. Our sons graduated from Grand Lake High School. Who is related to me that you may know: my third cousin from Holmwood was Fire Chief Algie Breaux (deceased) son of Dulva and Ament Gatte Breaux. Professional background not related to education is of a broad variety. Basically, I worked at Conoco for twenty two years, stopped working when the job moved to Oklahoma due to a merger. While at Conoco, Inc in Westlake, Louisiana, I served multiple positions which include Six Sigma Black Belt (Quality Program to omit error), Culture Change & Diversity Team, Sr. Staff Designer (drafting), and Administrative Coordinator over Site Services for twenty-one local Conoco sites. Afterwards, part time work while attending college includes a broad variety of work experiences with education, retail, disaster recovery, rental camps, and photography.Educational Background
Currently, I am in coursework and enrolled in the University of Louisiana (U of L) at Lafayette in Education Leadership - Higher Ed. The more I learn, the more I understand how much I still have to learn.
Educational experience includes three previous degrees from McNeese State University, Lake Charles, Louisiana and one degree from Louisiana State University at Eunice, Louisiana. Prior degrees include Masters in Art of Teaching (6-12), Masters of Business Administration, Bachelor of Science; double major Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics, and Associate of Science-Drafting and Design. Professional interests include teaching, tutoring, or experience with children and adults include teaching all ages for all topics kindergarten through 12th grade. Specific exams, math and business topics are tutored to college students and executives. I enjoy outdoor sports, played basketball, track, pep-squad in high school. I was in an assortment of high school and college sports and clubs. I participated on the art and environment committee at church and volunteered at my work place, my husband’s work place, and little league.
