Principal’s Message
It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the 2022-2023 school year. I am very excited to serve you as the principal of South Cameron High School. While I have been an educator for 14 years, this is my 3rd year solely at South Cameron, and I am very proud to be a TARPON!
Our mission remains the same: SCHS will strive to become a learning community that encompasses core values, culture, curriculum, and collaboration in order to increase opportunities and growth for all stakeholders. Our goal is to ensure every student who graduates from South Cameron High School is either college or career ready by offering both Dual Enrollment university classes and JumpStart career and technical classes. It is also our desire that students participate in athletic competitions, co-curricular activities, and extra-curricular activities that serve students' interests, sense of school spirit, and personal achievement.
We are thrilled to share with you that we are near completion of construction for the school building. Our basketball pavilion will be installed in Winder, our PK3/PK4 playgrounds will be ready to go in September, our Track will get a make-over soon, and we are offering numerous new enrichments and classes for students.
One of the things I have genuinely come to love is the heart of the community. Tarpon Pride is contagious! Thank you all for allowing me to be a part of this community and trusting us to prepare your child for the future!!
